The courier, not the postmaster.
Harkara is a free email client for Gmail, Outlook and any IMAP mailbox,
made in India and working in Hindi and English throughout. It already knows the
server settings for Indian providers, including government mailboxes on gov.in and
nic.in.
Your mail is not sent to us.
It syncs directly between your device and your mail provider. We operate no service
that receives, stores or reads it, and the app has no setting that would send it to
one. The
privacy policy sets out exactly what the app
connects to.
What it does
- Reads and sends mail from any IMAP account — Gmail, Outlook, Zoho, Rediffmail,
NIC and the rest — with Indian providers' settings already filled in.
- Signs in to Gmail either with Google sign-in or with a Google app password, and
to Outlook with Microsoft sign-in.
- Hindi and English throughout, not as an afterthought.
- A Wallet that finds receipts, bookings and parcel tracking in mail already on
your phone, reading them on the device and nowhere else.
- A device-local lock: a six-digit passkey sealed in the phone's own secure store,
plus your fingerprint or face.
Getting it
Harkara is in testing on Android and iOS ahead of public release. If you would like

Privacy
There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking in the
app, and no account to create with us. The full statement, including how Google
